We are pleased to announce that we have an open position as VP to join our team in Oslo. We are more than 220 colleagues in the department working alongside our customers on some of Norway`s most innovative building design projects. And we are proud to have contributed to projects like Regjeringskvartalet, Oslo Storbylegevakt, Drammen Sykehus, Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen, etc. Your main responsibility will be to lead the team of head of sections in Oslo, ensure talent development and ensure the implementation of our strategy FUTURE-NOW together with the leadership team. We are looking for a candidate who wants to contribute to project execution as well as sales/proposals activities in parallel with the leadership role. The role will be part of the leadership team in Business Unit Buildings in Norway with more than 600 dedicated employees. The role will report to VP Buildings Oslo.

Your key task and responsibilities will be:

  • Main responsible for head of sections, reporting to VP Buildings Oslo
  • Develop and follow up learning environment in the department
  • Communicate strategy and goals
  • Role model for COWI values
  • Encourage a high-performance and a diverse and inclusive culture
  • Long term workforce planning ensuring appropriate capacity and technical and managerial competencies as per current business and future needs
  • Ensure mobility and close collaboration within BU and across BLs
  • Attract talent and ensure and promote an attractive employer brand
  • Recruitment/dismissals/promotions, coordinated with VP (DEPT) for all employees in the PS, PM track respectively
  • Manage salary adjustments and coordinated with VP DEPT for all employees in PS, PM and track respectively
  • Ensure employees are aware of relevant policies and guidelines
  • Contribute to project execution as well as sales/proposals activities

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Experience from relevant management/leadership roles, including leading others
  • Demonstrated people skills and ability to build teams
  • Ability to transform, adapt, organize, and execute strategic goals
  • Experience from project execution and leading project execution processes
  • Experience from leading proposal processes
  • Demonstrated commercial mindset
