We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power. Through our portfolio of projects, we are mitigating the environmental cost of industrial activity for a cleaner, more sustainable future. We see a daily growth in our market potential as a rising number of customers look to carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and our company to solve their emissions challenges.

Aker Carbon Capture is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from concept studies to large EPC, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

Are you ready to work with us to realize the enormous potential CCUS has in making a lasting, positive impact on our environment?

In response to the recent market surge for ACC’s products and services, we are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to strengthen the Commercial department. This role, which reports to the Head of Advisory Services, involves technical sales, support for Key Account Managers and the Commercial team, and contributions to tender teams. The role is a key interface between the technology specialists and the commercial teams.

Who will be your colleagues in the Advisory Services team?

The Advisory Services unit is part of the CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) Organization and consists of technical authorities, study managers, and technical sales managers as well as offering leads for both commercial and technical offerings. Their main role is to provide advisory to customers so that emitters can proceed with their projects towards a final Investment decision (FID). They work closely with business development and sales personnel in the CCO Organization as well as technical and product teams in the COO (Chief Operating Officer) Organization. The unit has team members both in London, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Mumbai. Some short duration travel must be expected, primarily in Europe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage in customer interactions and technical discussions based on in-depth knowledge of post-combustion carbon capture solutions.
  • Lead sales processes by identifying and maturing potential sales opportunities.
  • Lead customer feasibility and concept studies as technical expert.
  • Support Key Account Managers and the wider Commercial organisation with regards to proposals, tenders and PDP/licencing.
  • Work as a liaison among various partners in sales and across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Technical background in thermodynamic processes and systems such as power production, CHP processes, steam cycles, district heating systems, and cooling systems is an advantage.
  • Relevant engineering background with experience from relevant industry. Experience from post-combustion carbon capture is a plus.
  • Relevant leadership experience and experience from project positions in similar roles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English. International experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sales tools (Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, Xait Porter) is beneficial.

Personal attributes:

  • Independent, proactive, and goal oriented.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility regarding work tasks and working hours (our team works across several time zones).
  • High workload capacity and efficient task completion.
  • Team player who thrives by helping others.

Here at Aker Carbon Capture, we care about each other just as much as we care about our work and the sustainability for the environment.

This is why we offer:

Not just a job, but a career. You can take an active role in the industrial energy transition. We believe carbon capture is essential to reach the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The feeling of belonging. This role will be crucial in supporting Aker Carbon Capture to help the industry meet its carbon capture obligations. As our colleague, you will be given opportunities and responsibility to develop with our company. We can offer a dynamic and challenging environment in a growing ESG company.

Including and dynamic work culture. Aker Carbon Capture is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we will be conducting interviews with relevant candidates on a continuous basis

Due to the short recruitment timeline for this role, only candidates with valid work permit in EEA will be considered for this position.
