To valuably impact and foster innovative hydropower projects in Norway, we are looking for a Technical Director to join our team. You will lead the direction for technical innovation and use your expertise and seniority to ensure a solid pipeline of opportunities in collaboration with key stakeholders. And you will lead and collaborate closely with a team of dedicated experts on some of Norway’s most innovative projects in renewable energy. Your key activities will be:

  • Participating in the planning, execution and delivery of significant engineering projects that require state-of-the-art technical and innovative capabilities
  • Review project work to ensure high quality, the use of appropriate innovative solutions and compliance with internal QM processes, rules and standards, and client specifications
  • Engage with key customers to build strong business relationships, and build professional communities to foster knowledge sharing
  • Ensure technical and efficient people- and capability development by staying up to date on technical competencies, and providing input to the leadership team
  • Assisting Project Managers and other Directors in making informed technical decisions

On top of that, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical-, mechanical-, or process engineering, renewable energy, automation or a related field
  • Preferably 12+ years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in hydropower and high voltage systems with a strong understanding of requirements and regulations set by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE)
  • Strong knowledge of innovative and technical capabilities within significant engineering projects
  • Proven track record of driving technical excellence, innovation and market development
  • Experience in developing and building strong customer relationships and networks
  • Proficiency in digital tools like SCADA, GIS and advanced simulation software, e.g. PSS/E, ETAP
