Are you ready to gain hands-on experience with one of the world's leading technical experts? We are seeking a Summer Student to join our Quality Task Force!

Quality Task Force
Our team consists of highly experienced specialists (including material) who support customers across a wide range of Maritime segments in solving complex engineering challenges. We investigate materials-related failures, create risk anssesments and provide expert advice on critical issues that can impact safety, operational performance, and business reputation.

DNV is now looking for a Summer Student who is ready to start their professional journey with us.
What to expect as a Summer Student in the Quality Task Force:

  • You will work alongside and shadow one of DNV's most experienced materials experts.
  • You will gain exposure to real-life technical challenges involving materials, corrosion, failure mechanisms, risk management and communication with frustrated internal/external customers.
  • You will participate in investigations and problem-solving activities where technical excellence must be balanced with customer communication and stakeholder management.
  • You will learn how complex engineering decisions are made when safety, operational risks, and business reputation are involved.
  • You will have the opportunity to observe customer interactions and understand the human and communication aspects of consulting work.
  • You will contribute to projects that help customers maintain safe and reliable operations.
  • You will work in an international and collaborative environment with experts across different technical disciplines.#summerjob

About you

Who are we looking for?

  • A student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in materials technology, corrosion, failure analysis, and engineering problem-solving.
  • Motivation to learn from experienced experts and actively participate in challenging assignments.
  • Curiosity and willingness to understand not only technical issues but also the human and communication aspects of consulting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges.
