About the role
Are you ready to kick-start your career as a summer student in Maritime Advisory?
The Environmental Advisory section in DNV Maritime supports our customers in optimizing their decisions on environmental technology, low-GHG emission fuels, and GHG and environmental policy. With more than 20 years of service deliveries dedicated to ship emissions and abatement strategies, our interdisciplinary teams have expertise ranging from detailed technical analysis to strategic advice.
Working at the intersection of technology, economics, and policy, our competence is highly sought after in both industry and the public sector. Our section is responsible for initiatives such as the Green Shipping Programme, The Nordic roadmap project for future fuels, and the annual DNV Maritime Forecast to 2050. We also work closely with the industry on assessments related to issues such as ship recycling and biofouling, and we are the Norwegian NOx Fund’s technical advisor.
Typical tasks as a summer student in Environmental Advisory would be:
- Contributing to feasibility studies of low- and zero-emission solutions, including maritime batteries, fuel cells, LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, biofuels, CCS, nuclear and other emission reduction technologies
- Contributing to improve the methods, tools and data we use to assess fuel and technology options
A summer job in Maritime Advisory at our head office in Høvik (outside Oslo) will consist of teamwork on specific tasks guided by our technical experts. Please indicate your master program specialization and/or main area of study during the application process.
