The Structural Engineer reports to Head of Section and is a member of a highly skilled team of 40 highly skilled engineers located at Høvik (Oslo), Trondheim and Stavanger. These experts are working in two equally sized sections responsible for structural analyses and capacity checks, i.e. the sections Fixed Structures and Floating Structures. The sections are seated in common office landscapes. The collaboration between the sections ensures that employees can work on a wide range of projects and develop a broad understanding.

The two sections serve clients with advisory and verification services both in single discipline projects owned by own unit as well as multidisciplinary projects owned by other parts of DNV across ocean-based sectors. Primary tasks of this role are structural FE analyses and structural capacity assessments for a wide range of offshore load bearing structures within segments of renewables, oil & gas, aquaculture and floating infrastructure. Our engineers work both as project team members and project managers and contribute with technology and service development, customer interaction and tendering work dependent on seniority and demand.
