Would you like to engage in a valuable People & Organisation Business Partner role in an organization focused on shaping a sustainable and liveable world? Do you have the experience to cultivate leadership and improve organizational results in challenging situations? We would like to hear from you!

We are strengthening our People & Organisation team and are looking for a Senior People & Organisation Business Partner who is comfortable partnering as a trusted advisor and experienced advocate in a period of change and transition. COWI is undergoing a transformation, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in shaping this exciting period of COWI's history.

Enable leadership growth and deliver strategic people partnership

In the role as Senior People & Organisation Business Partner you will be right in the centre of action! You will join the leadership team for the business area you collaborate with, taking charge of advancing the people agenda alongside the Senior Vice President (SVP) in your business areas. Your responsibilities will include promoting effective leadership, boosting team engagement, overseeing performance management, and ensuring organisational governance to benefit our overall business goals.

You will report to the Head of P&O for Norway and be part of the P&O team in Norway consisting of 7 skilled colleagues, and the global P&O team with experienced HR professionals around the world.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders in addressing complex organizational challenges by leveraging your P&O experience and broader perspectives.
  • Supervise and ensure the implementation of organizational change initiatives from a P&O perspective.
  • Promote leadership behaviours and elevate team performance through coaching, while advising SVPs on workforce planning, engagement, team development, and organizational design.
  • Implement and execute annual processes, including Engagement Survey, People Review, Succession Planning, Talent Management, Performance Management, and salary review.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence such as Organization Development, Talent Acquisition, and Global Mobility for the design and delivery of global initiatives.
  • Ensure governance around core processes and guide leaders on COWI standards and employee relations in collaboration with legal specialist.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future

The first step to success in this role is that you are open to collaborate with the people around you. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

In addition to this, you:

  • Hold a master's degree in psychology, HR, business administration, or a related field.
  • Have extensive experience within HR, predominantly as a Senior HR/P&O Business Partner working in international, matrix organisations.
  • Are experienced at acting as a trusted advisor and courageous advocate to senior leaders and holds a history of driving change in organisations.
  • Have knowledge of organizational governance and labour law.
  • Are focused, energetic, resilient, and able to effectively manage a number of deliverables and priorities where complexity and demands are high
  • Are able to work fluently in both Norwegian and English.
