We are looking for a Senior Purchaser to strengthen our Supply Chain department in Bergen.

About the position

The Supply Chain team in Aibel is growing and we need new competent employees. With us, you will work with dedicated colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. You must be able to balance several tasks at det same time and thrive in a hectic work environment. The other members on your team have great confidence in you, and know you are dedicated to keeping yourself informed on status and progress.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Follow-up of complex procurement packages and create procurement strategies
  • Issue inquiry documents for larger equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering
  • Commercial evaluation of quotations
  • Issue orders and contracts
  • Follow-up to secure delivery within the right timeframe, cost, and quality
  • Handling of risks, deviations and invoices
  • Secure that all work is executed in accordance with Abel’s guidelines, work instructions and procedures
  • It is considered a natural part of the job to constantly work on improvements, to reduce internal and external risks, costs and to improve delivery quality and cooperations

Qualifications

  • Master or Bachelor degree with relevant subjects: Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and similar. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience, preferably within Supply Chain Management
  • Commercial awareness
  • SAP experience with high degree of data discipline is preferred

  • Good oral and written communication skills, both in Norwegian and English
  • Flexible and positive with good collaboration skills
  • Structured, efficient, and willing to change
