Create sustainable and beautiful solutions with a global team of expertsWe are looking for a talented and ambitious senior project manager to drive our offshore wind foundation design projects – from conceptual design to detailed design. You will play a crucial role in managing great projects and great people, ensuring operational and technical excellence and making our customers’ needs come true.
The Wind Energy and Renewables organisation consists of approximately 300 dedicated colleagues across COWI. We have a track record in making wind energy solutions possible even under the most demanding conditions – deep waters, on challenging soil and in regions with high seismic activity. When offshore, we design both floating and bottom-fixed structures. Since 1980, we have been involved in more than 1,000 wind power projects in 70 countries.
You will be fully responsible for the management of a wide range of offshore wind projects. You will be accountable for ensuring that the project is successfully delivered on time, to the customer’s specifications and within the project budget constraints while developing customer and stakeholder relationships and offering advice and guidance to the project team.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Managing projects with a special focus on offshore wind foundation design projects
- Leading project teams in executing the projects
- Ensuring the well-being of project teams and creating followership
- Leading project discipline leads and design teams, leading and managing stakeholders, suppliers and partners
- Managing contracts along with risk management, quality assurance, document control and cost control for the projects
- Managing tenders for selected prospects
Your skills. Our team. Together, we design the future. The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
On top of that, you will have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree or PhD, preferably in civil engineering
- +10 years of experience in the design of offshore wind foundations or similar experience
- Experience in project management with knowledge of the marine and offshore segments
- Experience in managing teams in a global organisation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
