Aker Carbon Capture is a dedicated carbon capture technology company that offers a reliable, field-proven and HSE-friendly way of removing emissions from industrial sources. Our patented solutions serve a range of industries with carbon emissions, including cement, waste-to-energy, refineries and steel. Through our portfolio of projects across Europe, we strive to mitigate the environmental cost of industrial activity for a brighter, more sustainable future. Our market potential grows every day, as a rising number of customers look to CCS and our company to solve their emissions challenges. Aker Carbon Capture’ project portfolio ranges from concept studies to large EPC (engineering, procurement and construction). We have now more than a dozen ongoing projects in various phases of development, and we are ready for our biggest challenge yet: delivering the carbon capture plant at the Norcem cement plant in Brevik, Norway. In the next few years ACC will deliver several full-scale CCS-units, as well as operate two Mobile Test Units (MTU) on various flue gases and sites.

The MTU is a small-scale CO2 capture plant comprising all key elements found in a commercial carbon capture plant. Aker Carbon Capture has gained extensive operational experience during long-term testing on real flue gases worldwide. The first MTU has been operated for more than 30 000 hours in USA, Scotland, Sweden and at various locations in Norway. The second unit is even more advances and currently under construction.
