About the role

Unit Concrete Structures seeks Senior Engineer to meet growing market demand. Our department is a leading center for assessing loadbearing structures in the offshore industry, with 100 experts collaborating on projects worldwide. We provide technical advisory and verification services in Northern Europe and beyond, supporting various DNV business areas. Join us in driving technological advancement and industry leadership through innovative projects and rule development.

Our projects cover all sides of structural integrity related matters from assessments of environmental loads, foundations and mooring systems, structural behaviour, functionality and capacity of structures, asset integrity management, lifetime extension to marine operations during transport, installation and decommissioning of structures.

Your role will include:

• Developing expertise in offshore concrete structures and gaining a comprehensive understanding of our business and loadbearing structures.
• Engaging in project work, technology development, and service enhancement to address complex offshore industry challenges.
• Contributing to multidisciplinary project teams covering various aspects of structural integrity, including environmental load assessments, foundation analysis, and asset management.
• Collaborating with a skilled team of concrete and grout specialists, leveraging global offices for seamless teamwork.
• Performing technical tasks within integrated project teams, including FE analysis, laboratory testing, and risk-based inspections.
• Driving business development and sales initiatives while mentoring junior staff members.
• Conducting structural integrity assessments for a diverse range of assets, from offshore concrete structures to infrastructure facilities and ports.

About you

• Master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering and concrete structures.
• Several years of experience working with offshore concrete structures, including design expertise.
• Proficiency in numerical nonlinear analyses is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the offshore industry and relevant markets is preferred.
• Possesses a commercial mindset with a customer-centric approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent proficiency in written and oral English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian, is beneficial.
