Then we build it.We are looking for Senior Engineers who can strengthen our Automation department in Oslo. You will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned operated Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), Electrification projects and hydrogen facilities.

About the position

Aibel's Automation Engineers design and specify automation systems solutions and strategies for engineering projects in concept, study and detail phases.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Safety automation design for Study, FEED or EPC projects
  • Define and specify Automation and SAS system design for Safety Instrumented Systems
  • Development of automation philosophies & solutions to the required level
  • Development of automation SAS programming basis (i.e SCD, C&E, FPDS, Functional Specifications) to the required level
  • Participation in multidiscipline design and review activities
  • Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for automation discipline as required
  • Participate in improving working methods through digital tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree within the fields of Cybernetics, Instrumentation or Automation systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with industrial automation control system design within O&G projects on the Norwegian continental shelf or the OW sector
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNVGL and IEC
  • Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards
  • Experience with use of SCDs for documenting logic
  • Experience with SIS design development
