We are looking for candidates to support in maritime transactions and transformations
Maritime Advisory provides technical support to customers and stakeholders within the Maritime and Offshore industry globally in their efforts to make the right decisions to achieve profitable and sustainable results. Life Cycle Management (LCM), a part of Safety Advisory within Maritime Advisory, supports maritime/offshore customers & stakeholders in a technical & commercial advisory role. In such a role, LCM enables the customers/stakeholders to manage their risks in terms of building and operating their assets efficiently, safely and in compliance with rules and regulations. The role is further executed through services such as technical due diligence, regulatory gap assessments, technology qualification, life extension & new build advisory services. Typical focus areas include offshore wind, gas carriers, tankers, cargo and passenger vessels, floating offshore assets as well as alternative fuels and new technologies enabling digital and decarbonization ambitions of our customers.
Our team regularly acts as an independent consultant to lenders, investors, asset owners , asset operators & other stakeholders providing technical expertise in a variety of roles such as risk management, transaction support, compliance management as well as strategies for managing transformations related to decarbonization and digitization.
Due to a high workload in our Lifecycle Management services, we are seeking to hire two enthusiastic and motivated Senior Consultants with relevant experience. Typical career paths in Lifecycle Management include taking a leading role in one or more strategic areas including but not limited to:
- Technical due diligence / transaction support
- Technology qualification
- Useful economic life and retirement analysis of fleets and vessels
- Newbuilding and retrofit investment decision support
- Alternative fuels and decarb advisory from a lifecycle perspective
Responsibilities:
- Project management and delivery of customer projects according to agreed scope and timeline
- Securing external work by identifying opportunities, defining solutions for customers and bidding for contracts.
- Networking with senior professionals outside and inside DNV through a good understanding of professional and business issues of maritime customers.
- Apply knowledge and analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges and work on several projects in parallel. Some travel can be expected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering are examples of relevant degrees, but non-technical degrees may also be relevant.
- Minimum 5 years of previous related / relevant experience from the industry. Maritime experience is a plus, but not an absolute requirement.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
