To support our journey, we are looking for a Senior Cable System Engineer to join the Electrical Transmission team in Entr.

You will be part of a team that develops High Voltage Power Systems. Our team consists of leading experts working across areas that include offshore wind, transmission grid, offshore electrification, power to/from shore, offshore- and onshore substations, and advanced subsea power distribution systems. We combine in-house technology and close cooperation with leading suppliers with deep system analysis competence to create the best solutions for our customers.

What will you be doing?

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Participate in advisory and study-work, FEEDs, tenders, R&D-projects and technical support in execution projects, as well as strategy processes.
• Participate in developing both floating and bottom fixed wind farms, their connections to offshore substations and further connection to shore.
• Follow-up
• Mechanical design and manufacturing of High Voltage submarine armoured cables, both dynamic and static included power core design
• Mechanical and electrical testing of submarine cable systems
• Vendor document reviews and witness activities

What expertise you will bring to the team:

• M.Sc. or similar within Mechanical, Marine Technology, Electrical power systems or other
• 8-15 years of experience from the energy business, e.g. within grid, industrial, wind, offshore or subsea high cable systems
• Submarine cable system knowledge, including ancillary equipment.
• Familiar with standards, codes, and recommendations such as IEC, DNV, BV, Cigre
• Experience from a cable supplier is preferrable.
• Experience within engineering, delivery, and follow-up of cable systems in projects is preferrable.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, practical, structured, and analytical
• An open and curious mindset
