Senior Bridge Engineer within Operation and Maintenance
(Location: Trondheim, Bergen, Oslo)

In this role, you will join our team of inspection and maintenance experts. We currently have a diverse range of exciting assignments and hold several framework agreements within bridge inspection and maintenance.
Some of our recently completed projects include:
- Comprehensive inspections of major bridges using underbridge lifts, such as Straumbrua in Trøndelag.
- Highly specialized inspections involving non-destructive testing (NDT) examinations of post-tension cables, chloride sampling and ECG measurements on bridges like Rundebrua, Remøybrua, and Nerlandsøybrua.
- Inspections utilizing drones and thermal cameras.
- Structural assessment and classification of both simple steel and concrete bridges and more complex structures like riveted steel truss bridge Nessundet bru and Straumbrua.
- Concrete rehabilitation projects consisting of concrete repairs and implementation of cathodic protection measures.
- Extension of service life, load capacity, and traffic safety of several bridges for Statens vegvesen and Fylkeskommuner

As one of the world's largest bridge design consultants, we have access to an extensive network of international bridge specialists. Additionally, we have our own concrete laboratory, which we utilize for detailed analysis of concrete dust and core samples.
A combination of field work and reporting must be expected.
- Carry out inspections of bridges and other structures
- Carry out destructive and non-destructive material tests
- Structural assessments and classification reports
- Determine repair and maintenance strategies
- Design repair and maintenance solutions
- Participate in customer meetings and build relationships with customers
- Contribute to the green transition in the transport sector
- Work on LCC (Life Cycle Cost) and LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) reports, analysing the cost and environmental impact of bridge projects throughout their lifecycle
- Contribute to business development and tenders

We are looking for someone with:
- Master or bachelor’s degree in structural engineering
- Experience with the design of bridges and civil structures
- A keen interest in inspection and material technology
- Good theoretical knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, both in Norwegian and English
- Experience from construction site or field work is an advantage
We encourage candidates with varying levels of experience, both short and long, to apply.
Please note that some customers and projects may require security clearance at various levels, necessitating security clearance for some projects or positions.
