Tranby Technology Centre – Aker Solutions’ most sophisticated production and service centre – is strategically located at Tranby in Lier municipality, a short distance from the port of Drammen with 24,000 m2 workshop, office space for 650+ employees and first-class warehouse facilities, we are a world leader in engineering services, CNC machining, all types of welding, surface treatment, assembly and testing activities.

Our Manufacturing and HSSEQI department in Tranby is now looking for a Sales Representative Industrial Sales.

What will you be doing?

Internal Sales at Aker Solutions:

  • ​Develop and implement strategies to create awareness of Tranby Tech Centre’s capabilities, ensuring internal stakeholders are well-informed and engaged.
  • ​Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to a make/buy strategy that enhances workshop benefits
  • ​Maintain a constant flow of work to ensure optimal utilization of the centre’s capacity

External Sales:

  • ​Establish and maintain strong connections with businesses in need of specialized manufacturing services.
  • ​Actively identify and seek out new sales opportunities through networking, social media, and other sales channels
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationships with our established customers
  • ​Coordinate with the technical team to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions​

We think you should have:

  • Solid background in sales with a specific focus on the manufacturing industry
  • ​Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and surface treatment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral.
  • Good understanding of Norwegian, with the ability to comprehend and engage with Norwegian-speaking colleagues and documents.
