We are looking for a Research Manager to join our team. We are a group of seven people working in the field of applied research in Oslo. Our specialty is research within process technology related to water treatment. We have our own research laboratory.

Together with our customers in Norway, we are involved in innovative projects in water treatment. Recently, we have been working on testing different methods for the removal of medical residues and nitrogen. For instance, we have carried out projects on medical residue removal for Bekkelaget Renseanlegg and the testing of new biocarriers for enhanced nitrogen removal, in collaboration with Horten kommune and funded by Miljødirektoratet.
We have also been working extensively in the field of sludge treatment and biogas production. For example, we conducted a project for Oslo kommune evaluating future possibilities for biochar production.

To strengthen our research capabilities and grow our business, we are now looking for an experienced Research Manager. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Drive development for the research group
  • Promote Aquateam to our customers and engage in dialogues with customers.
  • Support other researches in the team
  • Lead research projects

Aquateam was established in 1984. In 2017, it became a research institute with approval from the Norwegian Research Council. Aquateam has been working in the field of applied research to drive innovation and development within the water treatment sector.

Aquateam’s specialty is process technology within the water treatment field. This spans municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water, process water from industries and landfills, sludge treatment from wastewater and fish farming, biogas, and much more.
We are involved in several innovative projects within nature-based systems, as well as addressing contaminants such as medical residues, PFAS, oil spills, and bioremediation. Aquateam is a specialist within the water treatment field and receives basic funding from COWI Fonden, COWI’s funding program for research activities.
