About the role
Join our team in Høvik and be part of our global mission to ensure the safety of life, property, and the environment in the maritime industry. We need a dynamic project manager to facilitate and drive business operations, exceed customer expectations, and continuously enhance our processes.
The Integrated Ship Systems section is at the heart of driving the advancement of assurance of Integrated Ship Systems in DNV. We are a team of 9 highly experienced and technically competent engineers applying our knowledge on technically advanced ships and offshore units. We work with everything from control-and safety systems, cyber functionality, future fuel compliance and dynamic positioning, all important components accelerating the decarbonization and digitalization of shipping.
As System Integrator you will collaborate with experts from several technical disciplines and regional DNV offices fostering collaboration within your department and across the organization. Ensuring that each project has the right capabilities, you will strive for a high-performing, collaborative culture and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the focal point and project manager for project activities and communication with key stakeholders such as designers, yards, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), ship owners, and managers, along with DNV’s local units and surveyors on site.
- Acquire a clear understanding of our customer’s key priorities and proactively manage customer expectations, uphold deadlines, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure DNV is proactive in identifying potential obstacles and risks at an early stage and ensure their impacts and mitigation strategies are clear for all stakeholders involved.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and attend meetings and workshops, discuss and resolve technical issues with the yards and OEMs.
- Manage and facilitate multi-discipline work and initiate cooperation across technical disciplines, encouraging collaboration and accountability with other relevant DNV internal resources.
- Acquire a deep understanding of system integration issues, including but not limited to instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Participate and drive continuous improvement efforts including tool development, process refinement, digitalization efforts, and lessons learned activities.

About you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybernetic, Electrical or other relevant fields.
- Preferably 10 years’ experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
- Experience as a project manager, surveyor, approval engineer or relevant work involving system engineering and instrumentation and electrical system integration is an advantage.
- Commitment to DNV's purpose, vision, and values.
- Motivated, curious, and enthusiastic.
- Flexible, service-minded, and positive attitude.
- Able to work both individually and in teams.
- Good communication skills, fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.
