About the role
To enable Energy Systems to achieve its strategic ambitions and become future-fit, we need leaders who drive business operations to meet customers’ expectations while also continuously improving the way we work. Region Northern Europe is therefore seeking a Project Controller to support one of our Service Areas to help ensure we meet our strategic goals.
The Project Controller is part of the regional Project Controlling team and reports to the regional Team Lead for Project Controllers. The Project Controller works with Project Managers to minimize commercial risks on projects and maximize revenue and cash flow. Our Project Controlling team consists of around 40 people working in 7 different countries within our region. We are a balanced and dynamic team working together to support our business.
Primary tasks of this role:
- Act as a business partner for Project and Line Managers by leading regular financial reviews of projects and portfolios of projects.
- Work closely with the Business Controller as a sparring partner and collaborate on common efforts to reach the department's yearly targets.
- Monitor, report, and advice on project financial status.
- Analyze and challenge input from Project Managers and Line Management where necessary.
- Be forward-leaning and proactive in using new reports and analyzing tools.
- Analyze projects for high-risk items and inform business controllers where necessary.
- Support Project Managers and staff with basic financial queries and increase awareness of commercial topics on projects.
- Quality assure all accounting transactions and documents timely in compliance with company guidelines to ensure that the financial information is reliable.

Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or equivalent.
- Graduates as well as experienced people are welcome to apply.
- Strong financial competence and experience, especially around project accounting.
- English language skills are required.
- Experience working with the project module in Oracle is an advantage.
- Experience working in PowerBI is an advantage.
- High level of fluency (both written and oral) in Norwegian/Scandinavian is an advantage.
