Jørgen Laake

Head of GSP’s Service Centre for Green Fleet Renewal – DNV Maritime Advisory

We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management. Driven by our purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence.

As a trusted voice for many of the world’s most successful organizations, we use our knowledge to advance safety and performance, set industry benchmarks, and inspire and invent solutions to tackle global transformations.

About the role

The Green Shipping Programme (GSP) is a public–private partnership working to develop the world’s most efficient and environmentally friendly shipping sector — in Norway — while building green competitive advantage for the maritime industry and public authorities. The Programme is administered by DNV, partly funded by industry and partly through the national budget.

Founded 10 years ago, GSP now brings together around 130 participants across the value chain and has launched 60 pilot projects. GSP also includes the Service Centre for Green Fleet Renewal, a dedicated team of experts helping shipowners and cargo owners turn green vessel concepts into real contracts and viable operations.

We’re looking for a proactive and versatile coordinator who thrives at the intersection of content, events, and operations. In this role, you’ll be the hub between GSP partners, the Programme leadership, and external arenas—making sure our content, agreements, and events land on time and to spec. You will work closely with GSP’s leadership on priorities, messaging, and delivery across channels and events ensuring our stories, partnerships, and events land with impact.

You’ll also support the leadership team of Maritime Advisory with planning, communications, and operational excellence - making this a unique opportunity to contribute to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day leadership support.

If you're passionate about the green transition and enjoy working across teams, channels, and formats, this role offers a front-row seat to some of the most exciting developments in maritime sustainability.

Green Shipping Programme (GSP) Coordination

· Plan and deliver GSP events end-to-end: Programme, speaker coordination, invites/RSVP, venue/streaming logistics, supplier management, budgeting, and evaluation.

· Coordinate GSP’s presence in external arenas such as conferences, panels, and podcasts—including logistics, bios, decks, and briefings.

· Create and manage content for GSP’s LinkedIn and newsletter: editorial planning, copywriting, simple creatives, list management, and performance tracking.

· Compile and package project results for external use: factsheets, visuals, slideware, and media outreach materials.

· Lead the development and upkeep of GSP’s website and branded templates (presentations, document styles).

· Follow up with GSP partners on agreements and invoicing; support reporting to the Ministry of Climate and Environment (KLD).

Leadership Team Support – Maritime Advisory

· Assist with planning and coordination of internal and external leadership events.

· Support content creation for presentations, leadership communications, and strategic messaging.

· Handle administrative processes such as scheduling, documentation, and internal coordination.

· Contribute to cross-team initiatives and help ensure alignment between GSP and Maritime Advisory priorities.

· Free shuttle bus from Sandvika and Skøyen.

· Comfortable with MS 365 (PowerPoint/Excel/SharePoint) and light contract/invoice handling.

· Understanding of maritime sector sustainability topics is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
