We're currently engaged in multiple feasibility and concept studies, as well as preparations for the execution of hydrogen plants in Norway, Europa and Americas. Hydro Havrand is now looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Prosess Engineer to join our rapid growing team. Our planned green hydrogen facilities are highly complex projects containing state of the art process technology and where your knowledge about the area will be crucial for Havrand’s success.

Your role:

As a Principal Process Engineer, you'll be a cornerstone in our corporate and project-level operations.

Your responsibilities at corproate level:

• Overseeing Hydro Havrand's process engineering.
• Ensure alignment across projects.
• Developing Havrand's process specifications and best practices.
• Reviewing project documentation for process compliance.
• Assist in defining projects manning requirement.
• Contributing to recruitment and team development.
• Ensuring adherence to standards, codes, and regulations.
• Acting as owner engineer in early phase projects.
• Providing technical recommendations and solutions.

Project-level impact:

• Setting process standards for assigned projects and ensure compliance.
• Process project responsible, including green field development and integration towards existing facility when relevant.
• Guiding project design, review, and approval processes.
• Participate in workshops like HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA.
• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams for technical resolutions.
• Responsible to set requirements and design criteria for process systems.
• Verify/review functional safety assessment, SIL identification and SIL allocation together with the technical safety and Control & Automation disciplines.

Desired competencies:

• MSc in Engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in process or process safety engineering in the oil & gas, power sector, chemicals or similar industry.
• Knowledge in gas combustion industrial processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes is required.
• Fluency in written and oral English. Norwegian and Portuguese are a plus.
• Experience with hydrogen derivates, hydrogen technologies, design of industrial facilities, and combustion knowledge is highly valued.
• Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, team-oriented, and value-driven.
