Piping Support Lead - Senior Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to strengthen our Piping Support department in Asker. As a Senior Engineer you will contribute to Aibel's exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition.

About the position

In this position, you will be given a chance to use your motivational and mentoring skills when leading younger team members. A Senior Engineer has various tasks and assignments but you should identify as a natural leader with a cooperative and respectful working attitude.

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Leading the Pipe Support designers for various projects
• Advising the designers on all Pipe Support activities, including design, calculations and drawing production
• Have an overview of the project as a whole
• Prepare Pipe Support procedures, standards, etc for individual projects
• Prepare documentation for purchasing, tag linking, support material library, support bad list, etc
• Site follow up at construction yard

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• 8-15 years work experience, preferably EPC new build and modification on Pipe Support Engineering
• Ability to perform structural calculations for supports
• Experience with Aveva Everything 3D (E3D) modelling tool
• Offshore and fabrication experience is an advantage but not a requirement
• Broad NORSOK knowledge
• Previous Aibel experience preferred
