The People Director supports Digital Solutions in developing and maintaining DNV’s culture and business goals through professional and consistent HR deliveries, with a focus on driving the people management strategy and managing the people team, procedures and processes. The HR Director shall advise and support the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in People and leadership-related matters and is responsible for creating and driving the People strategy.

The People Director will report to the Digital Solutions CEO and as part of the ELT working together to meet business requirements, goals, and KPIs. The People Director will have overall responsibility for the People and leadership Strategy in the Business Area, agreeing on common strategic initiatives at a global level, in coordination with the Strategy for people plans, growth and profitability.

The People Director will be key in supporting the CEO and ELT with ensuring People and leadership processes are aligned and implemented accordingly across all units. This shall also be aligned in the HR function throughout the business area.

The People Director will be based in Norway, Høvik.

Tasks will include:

The key focus area going forward for Digital Solutions is to ensure the right leadership behavior is applied throughout the organization while executing the Business Area strategy, and at the same time ensuring the resilience of the employees are taken care of. Specific initiatives related to this to be initiated and implemented.

  • Drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives within the business area to improve business efficiency and people management
  • Drive and support implementation of the DNV People strategy and aligned needs for the business area
  • Identify strategic people issues in partnership with senior management and support them with advice and expertise to resolve these matters, including support and drive change initiatives
  • Contribute to the delivery of business area Key Performance Indicators/OKRs
  • HR analytics
  • Contributing to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and talent attraction
  • Responsible for Sales Commission scheme
  • Contribute to design of leadership meetings and gatherings
  • M&A/due dill processes
  • Ensure legal compliance is met in all HR and HSE activities
  • Close collaboration with Group and other business areas/GSS
  • Collaboration with Works Councils and Unions

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate professional experience required; higher-level education (Master’s) preferred
  • Proven significant HR experience in global, international companies. Global/international exposure is needed.
  • Proven track record in implementing and supporting leadership, organizational development and change management initiatives
  • Due to the nature of the Business Area Digital Solutions, it is expected that the competence profile has a blend of both a strategic view combined with a very hands-on experience
  • Understanding of and experience with a software and digital business model, and a product-oriented way of working is a strong advantage
  • Is self-driven, forward-thinking, dynamic and commercially astute to ensure the business area achieves its ambitious plans
  • A demonstrated track record of working in a fast-paced environment, achieving results and driving continuous improvement
  • Experience with challenging, coaching and influencing Senior leaders
  • Solution oriented mind-set combined with a pragmatic approach
