We are seeking a dynamic colleague with a track record from O&M to support our Energy Solutions (EnSol) business. They develop, execute, and operate decarbonizing projects for industrial customers by providing battery storage, on-site generation, and energy efficiency solutions. Current core markets are Norway, Germany, and Sweden.

Responsibilities and tasks

You will manage our growing portfolio of BtM assets to ensure safe and sustainable operations and optimize technical performance to maximize commercial value. The assets include BESS, rooftop, and ground-mounted solar and energy efficiency systems.

Main tasks include to:

• Collaborate closely with customers, to set up and operate assets located at and integrated with their facilities, in the best way.
• Promptly identify and react to downtime events, equipment failures and production-affecting issues.
• Analyze issues affecting production and optimization potential, including maintenance strategies.
• Manage O&M interfaces and requirements with service providers, customers, internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate performance reporting.
• Define optimal contracting strategies, negotiate, and manage contracts for all operations, maintenance and monitoring activities for each asset, incl. insurance and warranties.
• Support Project Managers during construction and in preparing stakeholders for hand-over to operations.
• Set up and continuously improve digital operations tools, incl. optimized monitoring, analysis, and control response systems.
• Ensure compliance with local and grid regulations, operating systems, HSE guidelines, and sustainability standards.
• Develop and update internal processes and documentation that support operational needs.
• Lead the development of EnSol's operational strategy and support the development of Hydro Rein's overall strategy and implementation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical asset management and O&M of energy solution assets (solar PV, batteries, energy efficiency), ideally at the sites of large commercial or industrial energy consumers.
• Experience in deregulated power market operations, control room operations, and digitalization of operations is advantageous.
• Master’s degree in engineering, e.g. mechanical, electrical, industrial.
• Extensive operational experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
• Fluent in English. One Scandinavian language or German is an added advantage.
