About the role
As a Network Engineer, you have a role in the global network services of DNV. You help to maintain smooth connectivity between offices, cloud, and home office access, providing a dependable communication infrastructure to support our internal operations on VerIT.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that VerIT Network Standards are adhered to for implementation and operations (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall and Cloud)
- Oversee network performance, detect possible issues, and act in advance to ensure network efficiency and reliability at an optimal level.
- Work with network engineers and IT coworkers to identify possible enhancements for the VerIT Network platform.
- Participate in the 1st and 2nd line support
- Help Global Service Desk and 1st line learn more about network related services and support them with additional training raining.
- Respond to network service needs from Service Manager in GSS IT Network Services. For example, office relocation and modifications.
- Participate in development of new services based on demands and/or upgrades of current technology platforms.
- Exchange skills and knowledge with network team and other related teams

About you
Position qualifications:
- An IT related university degree (Bachelors degree or equivalent)
- Technical experience on Cisco platform or willingness to learn
- Expertise on core network topics
- Automation and security mindset
- Knowledge about IT Service Management process and best practices (e.g. ITIL)
- Ability to share knowledge and be part of the global team
- Have a service oriented and proactive attitude
- Structured and well organized
