About the role
We are looking for a Media Relations Manager to increase the exposure of DNV mainly in its Norwegian home market through both proactive and reactive media relationship management, including crisis communications. If you are a professional with strong journalistic skills and a broad network of media contacts in Norway, this is an ideal opportunity to make an impact in a large purpose-driven organization, working closely with top management. You can communicate complex topics in a simple and engaging way, and you understand how your work supports business goals. You work independently with strong execution skills, while also thriving in a complex organization and enjoying being part of an international communications team.
Responsibilities:
- Daily media relations and media advisory for DNV in Norway and the Nordic region, in close collaboration with executive management and all business areas
- Proactive press work and pitching to media, including press conferences in Norway
- Develop media plans, monitor the news landscape, and build/maintain media relationships
- Crisis communication and preparedness planning
- Improve our media reporting and analysis
This is a temporary position offered as a one‑year contract.

About you
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience with PR and media work across all channels
- Experience with media campaigns, being a spokesperson, and crisis communication
- A broad network, especially among journalists, and experience from a larger organization, preferably within B2B and/or PR agency
- Higher education in journalism, political science, communications or related field
Personal qualities:
- Excellent writing and communication skills in both Norwegian (native) and English
- Structured, results-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Strong ability to convey knowledge and simplify complex topics
- Strong execution ability and patience
- Interest in technology and sustainability
