We are looking for several new managers within Engineering Management, all of whom have the desire to deliver the best product possible within contractual and governmental requirements.

You have a technical background and consider yourself to be a leader with a genuine interest in people and development. Communicating clearly is of high importance and value to you, as well as your loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements. You believe you can make a difference within the team, as well as in Aibel as a whole. Furthermore, you are open to new ideas and solutions, whilst keeping a commercial mindset.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum 10 years' relevant working experience in technical fields
• Bachelor's or master's degree
• Proven record within project management
• Experience leading multidiscipline teams
• Knowledge of the interface between Engineering, Procurement & Construction
• Familiar with resource and scope planning
• Experience in management of change and/or external interfaces
• Comfortable with status and progress reporting

• Fluent English and preferably Norwegian skills - both orally and in writing

Examples of roles we are looking for

Engineering Manager

• Overall responsible for managing the Engineering team
• Responsible for development of the technical design and all Engineering deliveries including technical basis for Procurement and drawings to Construction
• Participation in the project management team
• Responsible for Engineering on time delivery within budget and quality
• Responsible for strategies, method, and improvements

System Manager

• Overall responsible for managing the System Engineering team
• Responsible for deliveries from the system design team including input to technical requisitions for procurement of equipment and materials as well as generation of documentation and information of the system design
• Technical integrity of the project

Area Manager

• Overall responsible for managing the Area Engineering team
• Responsible for the physical layout of the project regarding operability, fabrication friendliness, safety requirements etc., and additionally all analyses and calculations as well as releasing the 3D model and drawings to fabrication

Engineering for Procurement Manager

• Overall responsible for managing the Engineering for Procurement team (technical part of the procurement process)
• Responsible for both the quantity and the technical solution of purchased items, and together with Procurement ensuring delivery of material according to site need
• Act as a liaison towards the supplier, and ensuring quality and timing in flow of critical information
• Cooperation with procurement to secure Aibel’s commercial interest

Interface Manager

• Responsible for identifying and managing information flow between Aibel and external interfacing parties
• Securing dialogue and following up critical information with regards to quality and plan
• Head up the interface meetings and manage the interface system tools

Change Manager

• Responsible for managing the change process in cooperation with all project parties to ensure that the best solutions are found, technically and commercially
• Head up the change board and manage the change system tools
• Close cooperation with all disciplines including Procurement and Construction
