The position
By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to a forward-leaning environment in Equinor focusing on identifying and developing machine learning initiatives to support Equinor’s strategic direction. Your focus will be to drive maturation of new use cases as well as help manage the ones in development, such as:
- Predictive maintenance of our assets using machine learning.
- Optimizing the energy consumption of Equinor’s assets to cut CO2 emissions.
- Optimize the utilization of our renewable plants feeding energy to our O&G assets.
- Leverage Large Language Models to gain insight from historical maintenance data.
- Work closely with stakeholders and our skilled team of data scientists and developers to continuously shape our machine learning tools to meet a dynamic customer need.
- Build, train and deploy machine learning models as well as help out process and categorize findings from the models.
- Collaborate with some of the company’s best domain experts within e.g. rotating equipment, process, field instrument with the common aim of preventing equipment breakdown and optimize production efficiency.

You

For this position, we are also looking for:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
- Experience training and deploying predictive maintenance models OR experience with machine learning enabled autonomous systems is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Forward leaning, curious and actively searching for improvements and better deliveries building up under our purpose searching for better.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
