We’re looking for an experienced Linux System Architect who loves to innovate, solve complex challenges, and drive forward groundbreaking solutions. If you're excited by the idea of leading the charge in crafting secure systems on custom Linux platforms, using the Yocto Project, we want to hear from you!
Your Mission:
- Architect, develop, and optimize Linux-based embedded systems with a focus on security and scalability, using the Yocto Project.
- Customize and craft tailored Linux distributions for specific hardware platforms to meet the demands of cutting-edge industries.
- Collaborate with talented developers to integrate and test systems across various hardware configurations, ensuring seamless performance.
- Dive deep into troubleshooting, resolving issues at the kernel and application levels, while maintaining system integrity.
- Lead and maintain continuous integration (CI) and deployment processes to keep systems secure and efficient.
- Be a cybersecurity champion—secure development, system hardening, and implementing secure update mechanisms will be at the heart of your role.
- Spearhead the implementation of security standards like secure boot, encryption, and secure code distribution.
- Stay ahead of threats by conducting security audits and safeguarding our systems with proactive monitoring.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of next-gen platforms that meet both functional and security demands.
What You Bring:
Required:
- A proven track record of developing and managing Linux-based systems with extensive experience in the Yocto Project.
- Expertise in the Linux kernel, system programming, and deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience in securing Linux systems, with hands-on knowledge of encryption, access controls, and security solutions.
- Embedded systems experience with platforms such as ARM, x86, or similar architectures.
- Strong familiarity with version control systems like Git, CI tools, and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Solid grasp of network protocols, security, and seamless system integration.
Preferred:
- Experience with Buildroot, U-Boot, or other Linux frameworks for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of virtualization, containers, and cross-compiling techniques.
- Skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl to streamline and automate processes.
- Experience with automated testing platforms to improve system reliability.
- Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST.
- Nordic language skills, both oral and written, are a plus.
