Lead Project Controller

In August 2022, Aker Solutions entered into an agreement with SLB and Subsea 7 to form a new Joint Venture for subsea. Our Joint Venture came into effect on the 2nd of October 2023 and has been named OneSubsea.

By forming OneSubsea, SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea 7 have come together to create the world’s leading subsea technology and solutions provider. We are focused on accelerating innovation to create a step change in subsea production economics and reduce emissions in subsea operations.

The joint venture brings together deep reservoir domain expertise, broad front-end and system design knowledge. We provide an extensive field-proven subsea production and processing technology portfolio, world-class manufacturing scale and capacity, and unique pore-to-process integration capabilities.

We are now looking for a Lead Project Controller who wants to strengthen our team and be part of the exciting journey that has just started.

Subsea Project control is currently experiencing high workload and is in need of 1 new Lead Project Controller to cover ongoing backlog.

You will be responsible for activities related to project finance, reporting, cost, and income controlling for a large multiregional EPC project.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Being the Business Manager’s “right hand”
• Securing financial performance as planned or beyond in assigned projects through:
• Monitoring and analyzing financial trends and impact of risks and changes
• Controlling, forecasting, and reporting the costs and revenue for the assigned project
• Securing a sound cash-flow
• Ensuring hedging of foreign currency
• Project reporting; securing quality in the project accounts and reporting project status in accordance with internal procedures and contract requirements
• Advising project manager and Business manager in commercial aspects
• Promoting commercial awareness in the assigned projects
• Continuously contributing to improving current work processes

We think you should have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance
• Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent understanding of project controlling and estimation
• Good understanding of EPC contract structure
• Strong skills in Excel and preferably good knowledge of SAP
• Excellent communication skills in English, and strong presentation skills
• A structured and analytical working style with respect for deadlines
• Collaborative attitude, good listening, and communications skills
• A desire to set high-quality standards and an ability to reach them with efficient, systematic, methodical ways of working
• You are a team player who likes sharing expertise and knowledge with others
• You are proactive and curious and can adapt well to changes

Candidates must have valid work permit for Norway.
