Vårgrønn continues to grow and is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Manager to join the team. You will play a key part in the company's growth by ensuring the highest standard of health, safety, environment, and quality in our offshore wind projects. The role is newly established and will take on both strategical and operational responsibilities.
We are looking for a committed and proactive HSEQ Manager who will contribute to the growth of offshore wind and renewable energy alongside us!
Responsibilities include
As this is a newly founded role, we see this as a unique opportunity to create and develop the role and the HSEQ area within Vårgrønn. The function will cover strategic planning and operational tasks related to ensuring compliance, risk reduction, as well as lead and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within projects and the organization. You will report to the Senior Vice President Offshore Wind Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute companywide HSEQ strategy aligned with industry regulations and standards (eg. HSEQ policies, procedures, and guidelines).
- Process owner within own area of expertise, responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving processes in our Management System.
- Monitor and report HSEQ performance to senior management, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the advancement of our ESG strategy, including reporting within own area of expertise.
- Create project specific HSEQ strategies for Vårgrønn and partner projects, oversee HSE reporting, identify and assess risks for offshore wind projects, and integrate HSEQ considerations into project planning and execution.
As the Company expands, and projects transition from development to operation, the role may incorporate additional operational responsibilities, including HSEQ audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.
Experience and Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we see that you have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or Engineering. It is also required that you have a minimum of 5 years of experience from similar roles, with a preference for candidates with background from the offshore industry.
Candidates with previous experience in a safety culture based on risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques are preferred.
This role requires excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
