The Environmental Loading & Response section in DNV at Høvik is strengthening its team. We are 21 engineers specialized within metocean statistics, hydrodynamics and complex motion response and mooring system analyses for all types of marine structures. In our work, we are involved in a wide range of structures including Oil&Gas production and drilling facilities, offshore renewables (wind and solar), fish farms and floating bridges. We provide technical advisory services, verification services, run research projects and develop rules and standards.
You will take part in an inspiring working environment of highly competent colleagues. Around 50% of the team holds a PhD, which emphasize our focus on deep technical understanding and knowledge.
We are searching for a top motivated colleague who are keen on developing skills within numerical analyses focusing on environmental loading and motion response and take part in multi-disciplinary project teams to solve complex tasks.

What to expect as a Graduate in Environmental load and response
- Hydrodynamic analysis (HydroD/Wadam/CFD)
- Motion response and mooring analyses (SIMO, Riflex, SIMA, Mimosa)
Programming (Python, Matlab) - Physical description of the ocean environment (Offshore and near-shore)
- Statistical processing
- Uncertainty modelling and probabilistic analysis
- Project management
The position will in addition offer great opportunities to apply and develop technical skills in various areas related to simulation of motion response and hydrodynamics dependent on your qualification and interests.

- You should have communication, presentation and client management skills
- You have excellent English capabilities, orally and written.
- Preferably good Norwegian capabilities
You will be located at our office at Høvik outside Oslo
