About the role
Shipping Advisory serves a strategic function within Maritime Advisory’s portfolio, concentrating on performance, decarbonization and sustainability initiatives. It offers expertise and services to ship owners, ship operators, ship management, cargo owners, ports and other client groups throughout the maritime value chain. As the maritime sector confronts significant environmental challenges and disruptive transformations, Shipping Advisory is well positioned to support the industry’s ongoing progress.
The Shipping Advisory section consists of thirteen professionals, all located at Høvik, Norway and have a good mix of gender and age.
The unit has a high level of engagement, and we are now looking for young professionals who are ready to start their journey with us in August 2026.
What to expect as a Graduate in Maritime Advisory, section Shipping Advisory:
- Support customers managing the decarbonization challenge through efficient operations, technical solutions, and new concepts
- Develop sustainability strategies (ESG) and support the implementation processes
- Perform market analysis for companies, products and alternative fuels
- Strategic planning of fleet development and maritime logistics
- Work with green technologies and solutions
- Using data to get insight and create customer value
- Marketing, sales and business development

- Highly motivated graduates with an ambition to work in a consulting role
- The right candidates combine strong applied technical and commercial skills, consultancy mindset and genuine interest in the variety of challenges the maritime industry is facing
- Genuine interest in shipping and maritime industry
- Pro-active, commercial mind-set: Self-driven, team player, creative, sociable, customer-oriented and quality focused
- Demonstrate strong communication skill, presentation skill, and technical writing (Norwegian and English)
- Strong analytical skills and mindset (quantitative and qualitative): able to look beyond what is apparent to see trends and systematic impacts of underlying facts
- Excellent ability to collect, process and structure information
