The sections Fixed Structures and Floating Structures in department Structures is looking for graduates to join our team in 2025 to meet an increasing demand for our services and to accommodate strategic growth ambitions.

Department Structures in service area Offshore Infrastructure & Technology in business area Energy Systems in DNV is a leading competence centre within assessments of loadbearing structures, serving the offshore industry across ocean-based sectors. In the department, 100 highly skilled engineers are working in teams of world leading experts within aspects of structural integrity of load bearing structures such as offshore wind facilities, solar plants, oil and gas structures, offshore aquaculture and floating infrastructures.

Department Structures is responsible for technical advisory and verification services for assessments of loadbearing structures in Region Northern Europe. The department supports other regions and business areas in DNV, such as Offshore Class and Renewables Certification. We also work closely with business area Digital Solutions in developing and validating software applications for analyses and design of loadbearing offshore structures. The department is at the forefront of technology and leads the offshore industry forward through leading Joint Industry Projects and developing rules and guidelines.

We are looking for candidates who have ambitions to grow as specialists within structural engineering. The candidate will be given excellent opportunities to grow their expertise through project work, technology and service development, and solving complex matters for the ocean-based industry. Our projects cover all sides of structural integrity related matters including assessments of environmental loads, foundations and mooring systems, structural behaviour, functionality and capacity of structures, asset integrity management, life extension, decommissioning and marine operations during temporary phases.

The Graduate will report to Head of Section in Fixed Structures or Floating Structures. The engineer will be a member of a highly skilled team of 40 structural engineers located in attractive offices in Høvik (Oslo), Trondheim and Stavanger. These experts are working in two equally sized sections responsible for structural analyses and capacity checks of steel and aluminium structures. The two sections work very integrated, enabling close collaboration between the sections ensuring employees can work on a wide range of projects and develop a broad understanding within structural assessment depending on project requirements and individual development needs.

The two sections serve clients with advisory and verification services both in single discipline projects owned by own unit as well as large multidisciplinary across the organisation. Primary tasks of this role are structural FE analyses and structural capacity assessments for a wide range of offshore loadbearing structures within segments of renewables, oil & gas, aquaculture and floating infrastructure. Our engineers work both as project team members and project managers and contribute with technology and service development, customer interaction and tendering work dependent on seniority and demand.

If you have preferences to one section over the other or to any of the three office locations, please include this information in your application. We will do our best in accommodating when coordinating all applicants.
