The Controls Research & Development department is responsible for design and development of next generation control systems for renewable energies. The department will be part of developing advanced products for the present and future renewables market – targeting emerging markets within hydropower, electrification, offshore wind and hydrogen.

The department is developing new technologies and enabling digitalization. Controls R&D consists of 3 discipline teams:

  • Architecture & Verification
  • HW Electronics & Mechanics
  • Software

Our development strategy is built on state-of-the-art processes and methodology. The departments have direct access to in-house lab facilities with equipment and tools for concept development, prototyping and testing.

As FPGA/Electronics Developer you will become our expert within the field, assigned to product development projects. You will take part in all project phases from concept definition to design, verification, industrialization and product support. If your background is more related to software development in addition to FPGA design, this is also interesting for this role. Are you the one we are looking for?

What will you be doing?

  • Leading contributor within your expert field for studies and early phase projects
  • Defining the architecture and building blocks to support the product portfolio demand
  • Work assignments will include analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance of specific functionality. Focus will be on FPGA design in addition to embedded electronics or software
  • Leading and organizing the FPGA scope
  • Contribute to deliverables with high quality and reliability
  • Perform failure mode & effect and fault root cause analysis of new and legacy products
  • Define and maintain FPGA design processes and tools

We think you should have:

  • B/MSc degree within electronics, cybernetics or similar
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in product development
  • Experience from development of FPGA’s
  • Experience with one or more of the following is a benefit
    • SOC based solutions
    • Electronic board design
    • Software design
    • SIL rated development
  • Good people and communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Ability to handle complex specifications and develop consistent solutions
