About the role
We are looking for two authorised Veterinarians or Fish Health Biologists to join our Fish Health team as Fish Health Consultants - one position based at Frøya and one based in Rørvik. From our offices we serve customers across Central Norway. Our work is primarily related to Atlantic salmon farming but also includes cod and other marine species. Your working day will be varied, combining both fieldwork at aquaculture sites and office-based work.
Professional integrity is fundamental to our services. As an external consultant at DNV, you will never stand alone in professional decisions — you will always have access to experienced colleagues and strong internal support.
Our Fish Health team in Trøndelag is a growing regional team of highly skilled colleagues across a broad range of age. While based at different locations, we work closely together across offices, with strong collaboration and continuous professional exchange. Here you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the aquaculture industry through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities.
Main responsibilities
As a Fish Health Consultant, your main responsibilities will include health monitoring and follow-up at seawater and freshwater aquaculture facilities. Your tasks will typically include:
- Fish health and welfare monitoring at seawater and hatchery facilities
- Follow-up and advisory services related to delousing operations
- Hygiene inspections and biosecurity assessments
- Sampling, diagnostics and reporting related to fish health
- Other fish health–related advisory services as required
The role may be tailored to your experience, competence and motivation. For the right candidate, responsibilities may also include customer follow-up, as well as planning, coordination and management of internal and external projects.
The office locations for these positions will be Frøya and Rørvik, where we have modern offices at Blått Kompetansesenter and InnovArena — both co-location hubs for several key stakeholders in the aquaculture industry. Please state clearly in your application which of the two office locations - Frøya or Rørvik - you are applying for.
The position requires frequent travel to aquaculture facilities.
