About the role

DNV, Business Area Digital Solutions, is seeking a Finance manager to act as a business partner to our Plant software product business and Region EMEA. The role will report directly to the Director for the Product Line Plant and will be an integral part of the Product lines, leadership team as well as region EMEA.

Additionally, the Finance Manager will collaborate within a network of finance managers in the Business Area. The Finance manager play a crucial role in advising, challenging, and supporting the leadership team on financial and business-related issues.

The Product line Plant focuses on delivering software solutions to the Energy and Process Industry sectors, assisting customers in managing critical operations and risk while providing valuable insights for operational decision-making. With revenues of NOK 350 million, a robust EBIT margin, and a team of 95 dedicated employees operating in 17 countries, the business is well-positioned for continued growth and innovation.

This role involves active support to the Plant Product line Director and EMEA Regional Manager in all commercial matters such as:

  • Collaborate with product managers to analyze the financial impact of strategic choices and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Act as a business partner to the operations, providing financial analysis and recommendations to improve costs, productivity, and pricing.
  • Drive the development of financial models and tools to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Secure business control through accurate and in-depth understanding of the financial numbers for both reporting and business decisions.
  • Manage strategic and operational aspects of financial planning and management, including managing long- and short-term financial risks, providing financial support, and performing analytics.
  • Serve as a sparring partner for various parts of the business in financial, commercial, and operational matters.
  • Provide analytics and business impacts of improvement initiatives, business cases, and strategic priorities.
  • Prepare and participate in business review meetings on the product level, including monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Responsible for quality of financial accounting, reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis, and an effective business partner to the operations.
  • Perform financial review of bid proposals and contracts.
  • Support the implementation and effective use of PowerBI dashboards linking to data sources in Salesforce and Oracle.

About you

The candidate we are looking for would have the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
  • Ability to analyze business performance and identify concrete challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to leverage digital transformation to support and drive business performance.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI (Business Intelligence) skills.
  • Good understanding of revenue and cost drivers in several types of business models.
  • Have knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle Finance, or other finance systems is an advantage.
