The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and drive subsea technology innovation, qualification and evaluation of projects/activities.
• Advise on technical matters concerning leakage detection technologies and systems, and work with various stakeholders to implement changes and make recommendations for projects.
• Provide specialist support to address complex and high priority issues with a measurable and broad business impact.
• Identify or drive established change across the discipline to address complex challenges, deliver direct business improvements, or develop best practice processes.

In this position, you will be an integral part of driving Equinor’s focus on technology development in the coming years within leakage detection. This may include; direct acoustic sensing through fiber optic cables, use of autonomous underwater drones, system integration of many data sources, leakage detection systems based on simulation software, as well as getting the most out of existing methane, acoustic or other types of sensors.

• A minimum of 15 years' experience in the Subsea or Flow Assurance field, ideally with practical experience in leakage detection.
• A minimum Master’s degree in a relevant engineering subject.
• Proven ability to lead and drive projects and / or teams.
• The ability to provide deep technical and professional insight through acting as an advisor on leakage detection technologies and systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present technical analysis across different business areas.
• Excellent understanding of risk management and mitigation.
