To solve the energy challenges of tomorrow, we are looking for a Senior Hydrodynamic Engineer to join our Offshore Wind team. We are 175 enthusiastic colleagues working alongside our customers on some of most significant projects in Offshore Wind. And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like Empire Wind (North America), St. Nazaire (France) and Formosa 2 (Taiwan).

Your key activities will be:

• Providing technical expertise and leadership to the project team as discipline lead for projects worldwide, for floating and bottom-fixed structures
• Assisting in the design of foundation and substructures for offshore wind from feasibility stage through detailed design
• Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines
• Complex load assessment for design of bottom-fixed and floating offshore structures
• Global hydrodynamic design and structural response
• Advanced hydrodynamic analyses
• Contributing alongside experts to the internal competence development
• Ensuring application of state of art design
• Following the latest developments in rules and regulations of for example Class Societies
• Contribute to the development of COWI's technical execution model for Offshore Wind
• Developing design methodologies and contributing to knowledge sharing
• Co-create with clients and building relationships with clients and other stakeholders

On top of that, you will have:

• B.SC., M.Sc. or PhD in marine engineering or naval architecture, with specialization in marine hydrodynamics
• At least 10 years of experience with hydrodynamic design, numerical analysis, and load assessments
• Knowledge of ocean wave mechanics/physics
• Knowledge of rules and regulations, for example DNV, IEC or ISO
• Experience with automatization/programming in e.g. Python
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Outgoing and customer-oriented attitude with great collaboration skills

COWI has customers and projects that may require security clearance at various levels. There may therefore be requirements for security clearance in some projects/positions.
