About the role

Join Us in Building Trust in Data at DNV

Are you passionate about driving trust in data and eager to work across a global organization to achieve this? We are seeking a Data Governance and Data Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing our data governance and management program, ensuring data literacy, enhancing data asset management, and fostering data-driven decision-making. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our AI initiatives with high-quality data.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop, drive, and implement our enterprise data governance framework and strategies.
  • Collaborate with business units to align data governance with business objectives.
  • Coach and collaborate with data owners, stakeholders, and data stewards.
  • Lead data management projects, initiatives, and the Data Governance Forum.
  • Manage data assets, information modeling, data strategies, and AI/data risk management.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and a strong data culture across the organization.

About you

Who We Believe You Are:

You bring practical experience in data governance and management, whether as a data analyst, data engineer, data manager, data architect, or a similar role. You are familiar with frameworks like DAMA, have a solid understanding of security best practices, and are well-versed in GDPR and other relevant compliance regulations.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years in data governance and data management.
  • Interest Areas: Passionate about data strategy and governance, information modeling, data analytics, data security, AI, and data regulations.
  • Personality Traits: Curious, creative, and eager to explore new ideas.
  • Technical and Business Acumen: Strong technical background with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Business Insight: Understand and align with business strategies.
  • Communication and Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills; English is our business language.
  • Educational Background: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data management, or a related field.
