The Communications and Content Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing DNV Cyber’s thought leadership and brand strategy, supporting our ambition to become the most trusted expert in advancing the resilience of critical infrastructure through cybersecurity.
The successful candidate will define DNV Cyber’s global key messages and value propositions for priority market segments, engaging customers and other stakeholders with high quality, multi-channel content campaigns. They will demonstrably build brand reach and reputation by managing our thought leadership and media relations programmes. They will advise on, and support, content development for lead-generation marketing efforts, converting brand awareness into top line business growth.
The Communications and Content Manager will form part of DNV Cyber’s Marketing & Communications unit. They will work closely with marketing and communications colleagues within DNV Cyber and the Accelerator business area, business unit leaders and technical experts, and commercial leaders to support the following responsibilities.
- Media relations: Develop and deliver DNV Cyber’s global media relations programme, creating media content (corporate news releases, trade features, op-eds and interview opportunities) and managing relationships with the media to increase DNV Cyber’s share-of-voice on selected topics. Act as first-line media spokesperson for the business, manage an international network of appointed PR agencies and support/advise on local media programmes, primarily in the Nordic countries.
- Thought leadership: Coordinate and support development of DNV Cyber’s flagship thought leadership progammes, including (but not limited to) our Cyber Priority research campaign, our Nordic national cyber resilience studies, our threat intelligence communications programme. Create and execute multi-channel thought leadership communications campaigns.
- Website and owned media content: Manage an ongoing programme of content improvement, working in collaboration with Marketing Operations to improve search engine optimization. Create content for selected owned-media campaigns (e.g. cyber insights articles, podcasts, video, case studies) and advise on content development for lead generation marketing campaigns.
- Social media: Develop and manage a calendar of organic content on social media platforms, aligning with our media relations and thought leadership programmes, and supporting local targeting where necessary. Ensure coordination of organic content with sponsored content published by Marketing & Communications colleagues.
- Leadership profiling: Support the development of a dedicated profiling campaign for the DNV Cyber CEO (and other business area leaders as necessary), developing key messaging and conducting outreach through LinkedIn articles, media op-eds, speaking opportunities and other channels.

About you
- More than five years of work experience in B2B marketing communications or an associated discipline, preferably in technology services sectors
- Native or near-native fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Exceptional writing skills, with experience in writing for multiple channels
- Broad tactical marketing and communications experience covering planning and measurement, messaging, media relations, multi-channel content marketing, thought leadership communications, search engine marketing, events and social media
- Experience in positioning and scaling brands using content and thought leadership as the primary driver
- A results-focused team player, with demonstrable experience of delivering campaigns that lead to new business opportunities
- Experience in managing agencies, freelancers and other suppliers
- Experience guiding, advising and managing priorities from a broad range of internal stakeholders - from CEO to technical consultant - and in collaborating with communications and marketing colleagues to achieve results
- Entrepreneurial, creative, and highly collaborative, with a growth mindset and curiosity for trying new approaches outside of normal practices
- A results-focused self-starter who can work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Willing to put new ideas and opinions on the table and act upon them, and actively seeks inspiration from a broad range of sources
- Able to embrace agile ways of working, with an openness to adapt and shift priorities when new requirements emerge
- Comfortable with learning about, and working with, businesses operating across a broad range of domains, industries, and geographies
