Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Engineer is a vital role in KSAT, responsible for designing and managing cloud-based systems. The candidate will be involved in building and maintaining cloud platform resources and GitHub environments for KSAT Cloud Platform and development projects. They will achieve this by building procedures and crafting automation for repeatable and reusable processes around cloud deployments, governance, and security. The key attributes for this role are automation, reusability, and a DevOps mindset.

You will be responsible for

• Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
• Implementing current architectural standard and roadmap as well as creating, modifying and improving existing systems in Azure and AWS by leveraging automated ways through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD in GitHub
• Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
• Familiarity with common infrastructure and network components, security and architecture design patterns
• Experience with Bicep, ARM Templates, Terraform or similar
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) approach
• Familiarity with GitHub and automated deployments

Nice to have

• Azure and/or AWS certifications
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux administration from large environments

The primary workplace for the position is in Tromsø, though other locations may be considered.
