Herrenknecht AG is a German engineering company that specializes in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of tunnel boring machines (TBMs), drilling and mining solutions. With a strong presence in the global market, Herrenknecht AG is looking for an experienced and motivated Area Sales Manager to develop and manage their business in Scandinavia.
As an Business Development Manager for Scandinavia, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to expand Herrenknecht’s market share in the region. You will work closely with a senior Manager in Germany to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key customers, and negotiate contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and create business opportunities, design business development/sales strategies and maintain customer relationships for our traffic tunnelling solutions and projects
- Provide consulting and support to customers, tunnelling projects and construction sites
- Work closely together with our engineering and project management in Germany to support tender submissions and execution and fulfillment of our projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, geotechnical or a related background
- You have experience within drilling, tunnelling, mining or a similar industry – background can be from a construction or engineering company
- Experience in business development and maintaining and expanding a vivid network within our industry and/or construction companies
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian)
- Willingness to travel frequently within Scandinavia and occasionally to other venues
