Cenate is a Norwegian company developing new and unique silicon based nano materials that will make tomorrow´s lithium batteries both smaller and less costly. This combination is the key to taking the electrification of the world’s transport sector a big step forward. Cenate is collaborating with several of the world’s leading battery producers and is currently expanding rapidly – both by expanding our R&D team at Forskningsparken in Oslo and by building a large industrial pilot plant to demonstrate mass production at Holtskogen just outside Oslo. Cenate has its own laboratories, while also working in close collaboration with specialists from external research institutions and the research teams of our customers worldwide. Based on very promising battery test results from some of the world’s largest battery producers and equally positive experiences from the production processes at our industrial pilot plant, Cenate is now preparing to build its first full-scale production plant - with backing from some of Norwegian industry’s most seasoned investors.
